B2tech is looking for a Senior IT Specialist to own the IT environment. You will be the senior technical authority on site, handle the most complex escalations and work with the wider IT team to shape standards across our locations.

Responsibilities:

• Own the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and documentation of local IT infrastructure, including networks, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and servers.

• Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux environments, and support AWS infrastructure in coordination with the Regional IT Manager.

• Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex local incidents, lead root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.

• Implement and maintain security controls, including access management, endpoint protection, patching, encryption, and backup and recovery, in line with regional IT policies.

• Monitor infrastructure availability, performance, and capacity; identify improvements and support AWS cost optimization.

• Lead local IT projects and deliver regional migrations, rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades within agreed timelines and budgets.

• Automate routine administration and support tasks to improve reliability and efficiency.

• Coordinate local vendors and hardware/software procurement, and contribute to budget planning and contract renewals.

• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and collaborate with IT teams across locations to apply consistent standards.

• Report on local IT performance, incidents, risks, and improvement opportunities to the Regional IT Manager.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration.

• Strong hands-on experience administering and troubleshooting Windows and Linux environments.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID / Active Directory and Intune administration.

• Hands-on experience supporting AWS infrastructure, including access management, networking, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Strong networking skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, and site-to-site VPNs.

• Proven experience implementing IT security controls and supporting security incident response.

• Experience with infrastructure monitoring, patch management, endpoint protection, and backup and recovery.

• Practical scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

• Experience leading IT projects and providing technical guidance or mentoring.

• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities independently and escalate appropriately.

• Experience working with distributed or multi-site IT teams is an advantage.
