NOC Team Lead
Join us as a NOC Team Leader (reporting to the DevOps Group Lead) and take ownership of our 24/7 monitoring and incident response.
You’ll lead a technically strong team, safeguard the stability and availability of our production systems, and partner with DevOps and Engineering to continuously improve reliability.
This is an ideal next step for someone from a NOC/Helpdesk/IT background who enjoys being hands-on, solving complex issues, and driving operational excellence.
YOUR IMPACT:
Lead, mentor, and coordinate the NOC team’s day-to-day activities, ensuring high performance and smooth shift operations.
Own incident handling end-to-end, from detection and triage through escalation, resolution, and post-incident review.
Manage our Status Page, delivering clear, timely communication to stakeholders during incidents.
Use monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, ELK, and New Relic to proactively detect issues and optimize system health.
Develop and maintain simple Python/Bash scripts to automate tasks, improve diagnostics, and streamline workflows.
Collaborate with the DevOps GL, DevOps engineers, and development teams to refine alerting, reduce noise, and improve reliability.
Support release readiness by reviewing and helping prepare release notes so the NOC team is aligned on upcoming changes.
Drive continuous improvement by analyzing incident trends and enhancing runbooks, processes, and documentation.
OUR REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience in a relevant technical role (NOC, HelpDesk, IT Manager, System/Network Admin, or similar).
At least 1 year of management or team leadership experience in an operational or technical environment.
Strong technical orientation, with excellent troubleshooting skills and experience handling production incidents.
Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, ELK, New Relic) and incident management tools (PagerDuty and/or OpsGenie).
Ability to write and maintain simple scripts in Python and/or Bash, and to work with Status Page tools and release notes.
Advantageous: experience with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, and familiarity with CI/CD processes.
Strong soft skills: ability to multitask in an intensive environment, a proactive “YES” attitude, and a fast-learning, ownership mindset.
Russian speaker is a strong advantage for collaboration with certain teams and stakeholders.
