B2Tech is seeking a Backend Team Lead for our all-new Risk & Tools team!

Risk & Tools is responsible for building a centralized system for our risk metrics and transactions across all of our systems and products.

YOUR IMPACT

• Design and build core systems that support a rapidly growing organisation.

• Own technical solutions end-to-end – from proposing designs to implementation and rollout.

• Write clean, maintainable code and perform unit, integration, and regression testing.

• Raise the bar on engineering standards, ensuring best practices are followed across the team.

• Continuously improve our stack and processes, introducing new tools and technologies where they add real value.

• Partner with Talent Acquisition to grow your team of Backend Engineers.

• Coach and mentor your team, sharing knowledge through code reviews, pairing, and technical sessions.

• Provide strong technical direction and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

• Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to shape requirements, timelines, and deliverables.

• Conduct regular performance and growth conversations, giving actionable feedback and supporting each engineer’s development.

• Act as an effective point of contact for the R&D Manager, architects, DevOps, and other stakeholders.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven experience as a Backend Engineer / Tech Lead in a Microsoft-based environment.

• Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft tech stack: C# / .NET Core, MS SQL Server, REST, and Visual Studio.

• Strong background in software architecture and implementation-level design.

• ⁠Experience in fraud detection and risk management is an advantage.

• Experience building iGaming products and/or features is an advantage.

• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum ways of working.

• Hands-on experience with clean code practices, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

• Experience with real-time or near-real-time, event-driven systems.

• Ability to diagnose and solve performance issues in complex distributed systems.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a track record of resolving complex technical issues.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience guiding and motivating engineering teams.

• Clear and confident verbal and written communication, enabling smooth collaboration with cross-functional teams.
